Garage Monkey Junkies Car Club – Inaugural Car, Truck and Bike Show

The 2024 Garage Monkey Junkies Car Club – Inaugural Car, Truck and Bike Show is being held in conjunction with the Buzzi Unicem Annual SweetFest event. There will be lots of beautiful vehicles being displayed, while in the meantime there’ll be several bands playing live music, vendors serving up delicious food, vendors with all types of merchandise, and lots of prizes to be given away. Come and show off your rides and compete against other enthusiasts. 1st and 2nd Place Awards will be awarded in multiple categories and 1st place will be awarded in multiple best specialty categories! We encourage everyone to come out to this amazing event, there's a class for everyone!
Proceeds benefit Nolan County Volunteer Fire Departments. (Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department, Lake Sweetwater Volunteer Fire Department, Nolan Volunteer Fire Department, Maryneal Volunteer Fire Department and Blackwell Volunteer Fire Department)

These departments funded primarily by donations are comprised of our neighbors and friends who volunteer hundreds of hours each year to keep our communities protected. The commitment of these men and women to provide fire emergency services as volunteers continues to represent a tremendous savings to the taxpayers of Nolan County. Providing the tools, training, and equipment necessary to save lives and protect property is an expensive task. With your help, we can help the Volunteer Fire Departments in Nolan County meet the challenge of providing the highest quality fire service apparatus and equipment to answer calls for assistance in our communities.

The Red River Triumph Club is hosting the 7th Annual Red River European Car Show on Saturday 05 October at the Tarrant County College (South Campus) in south Fort Worth. 100% of the registration goes directly to the scholarship fund the RRTC has sponsored with the TCC Automotive Program and is completely tax deductible. We are planning up to 24 Classes with awards for the top three in each Class and for Best of Show. Registration will open at 9:30am, participant choice voting will start at 10am and close at 1pm with awards presentation at about 2pm. The Student Center will be open for food and live music is planned.
Come and enjoy the fine cars, beautiful campus, good food, and a 50/50 raffle.

37th Annual Cordell Pumpkin Festival and Car Show

The festival includes vendors, a car show, a contest, entertainment, a kids' area, food trucks, an audio contest, an out contest, an 80s theme parade (this year), and an 80s movie at the Washita Theater. That evening after the event the Cordell Fire Department opens its Haunted Morgue, and the Washita Theater has a movie at 7 PM—cruise around town after the show and before the Haunted Morgue opens to see our beautiful town.
Here are the classes for the Car Show:
For Cars & Trucks: Pre-50s, 51-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 00-09, 2010 to present. Plus, Street Rod, Rat Rods, Motorcycle, Special Interest, & Semi Truck.
There will also be trophies for Most Original, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Farthest Away, and Best in Show.
This year the cars that are entered into the Car Show will be the ones to judge (just not in your category).
The first 75 to enter their car in the show will get a goodie bag full of items from businesses around Cordell and Washita County PLUS the Pumpkin Festival Car Show Shirt. These shirts will only be available to those who enter a vehicle. None will be sold. These are different than the Pumpkin Festival shirts.
If you want to sign up for your vehicle, please get in touch with the Chamber office at 580-832-3538 (if I don't answer I will do the best I can to return your call) or private message the Chamber here on Facebook with the Name and phone number of the car, class, year/make/model. And then I will get you an invoice on the list.

The Powell Cruise In and Pig Out has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 13.
The Powell Sertoma Club is Pleased to return to the streets of Downtown Powell Sunday, August 18, 2024!!!
The DJ will start pumping out the tunes at 12:00 Noon! Come to the 32nd Annual Cruise In and Pig Out and enjoy looking at a wide variety of Classics, Hot Rods, Exotics and Collectable Cars and Trucks. We ask that you register ONLINE . Registrations will open soon. The fee is $20.00 per vehicle.
Casual Judging of all cars will commence at 2:00. Trophies will be presented at 3:00 PM sharp. We will hold a 50/50 raffle. There is no charge for people that just want to come and observe the cool cars that show up to our show. Come on out and enjoy some awesome cars. Our show always brings out some great rides!!!
Enjoy all that Historic Downtown Powell has to offer. Powell Restaurants will be open for dining and refreshments. 100% of show proceeds are donated back to the community by Powell Sertoma. We have raised and donated over $950,000 back to our community.

The South Alabama British Car Club will host the 33rd annual British Car Festival in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay on October 19th. The featured car this year is the Mini. The Mini is celebrated as this year marks the 65th anniversary of the make. Although the Mini is the featured car, all British makes are eligible for entry. The festival is a judged event with approximately 150 entered each year.
